To subscribe to the Webb Wilder list:


To subscribe to the regular talk list, send a message to: WebbWilder-L-request@GOATLEY.COM?body=subscribe

The above should make your e-mail appear as needed but if it doesn't, then you need to add the word "subscribe" in the body of the message such as shown here:

place the following command in the body of the message:

SUBSCRIBE WebbWilder-L "your real name here"

for instance:
SUBSCRIBE WebbWilder-L Ken Drew

What if I want the digest mode or archives or whatever?

The traffic is very light but if you must:
send a message to: WebbWilder-L-request@GOATLEY.COM

with the following two commands in the body of the message:

The following commands can be handled automatically by the list processor:

  • SIGNOFF - to remove yourself from the list
  • REVIEW - to get a list of subscribers
  • QUERY - to get the status of your entry on the list
  • SET NOMAIL -to remain on the list but not receive mail
  • SET MAIL - to resume receiving mail from the list
  • SET CONCEAL - to not report your address in a REVIEW
  • SET NOCONCEAL - to report your address in a REVIEW
  • SET REPRO - to receive posts you make to WebbWilder-L
  • SET NOREPRO - to not receive posts you make to
  • SET DIGEST - to receive daily digests of posts
  • SET NODIGEST - to receive messages as they're posted
  • LIST - to get a list of mailing lists served by this host
  • HELP - to receive a help file

    By default, subscriptions are set to MAIL, REPRO, NOCONCEAL, NODIGEST.

    Archives of WebbWilder-L postings are available from ARCHIVES@GOATLEY.COM. Each archive is named WebbWilder-L.yyyy-mm, where "yyyy" is the current year andÊ "mm"Ê isÊ theÊ month.ÊÊ ToÊ retrieve all archives, send a mail message containing the command SEND WebbWilder-L toÊ ARCHIVES@GOATLEY.COM.ÊÊ To retrieveÊ theÊ archive for a particular month, specify the proper file name in the SEND command.Ê For example, to retrieveÊ theÊ archivesÊ forÊ August 1995, the command would be:

    SEND WEBBWILDER-L.1995-08
